The Founder.
Kristie Tate, MA, founder of Monarch Link, specializes in supporting contractors of child care and development programs. Over the years, she saw the overwhelming need for easily accessible trainings and resources for State funded programs. When policies changed or new staff came on board, it was always a struggle to ensure everyone was properly trained and had the tools needed to do their work. To fill this void, she formed Monarch Link. A place where the early education field could be linked to ongoing program operation trainings and resources to help agencies efficiently operate, with the flexibility to easily adapt with staff turn-over and ever changing policies.
Kristie's Professional Background
Over the past 26 years she has had the opportunity to advance as a Licensed Family Child Care Home Provider, Enrollment Specialist working directly with families, Child Care Services Supervisor supervising staff and program operation, and then as a Coordinator overseeing staff, multiple funding sources, regulations and sub-contractors.
Each position helped her to develop and advance her skills both personally and professionally. Furthermore, she has proven to be a committed leader through leading with good character, developing partnerships, streamlining complex systems, making data driven decisions, maintaining fiscally sound budgets, working collaboratively with families and having healthy working relationships.
In addition, her skills were broadened through education. In 2006 she completed a Master of Arts Degree in Human Development with a Specialization in Leadership in Education and Human Services. Her educational background prepared her to successfully navigate through the complexity of the early education field and effectively train others to ensure multiple program regulations are continuously met. Subsequently, she has had the opportunity to train multiple agencies both locally and throughout California.
